Hunter Boy/Mr. Cuteness/Buddy Boy/Butters is 8 months old today!

Our cute little boy is growing!
He is about 16 lbs.

Loves to:

  • play with sisters
  • sit up
  • laugh
  • roll all over the house
  • scream or cry when someone takes away his toy
  • fall asleep on his dad's shoulder
Funny things about Hunter:
  • finally starting to like baby food more
  • will finally take a bottle -- at night only
  • knows how to pivet himself around to get what he wants on the floor
  • does "So Big!"
  • when Bruce puts Hunter to bed he will stay asleep all night, if I put him to bed there's no guarantee
  • his deepest laughs (you know the ones that come from deep down in the belly) only occur when his sisters do funny things, not his parents
  • sleeps on his belly with his hands close to his face
  • loves to hear himself scream
  • his love for you shines through his eyes

On a very small sidenote, I absolutely LOVE the above picure. His expression is true happiness! Yep, he's looking at his mommy!

Valentine's, Updates, and Cuteness

Better late than never in telling about our fun little Valentine's day!

My cute hubby and girls gave me chocolate and flowers! I told Bruce that all I really wanted for Valentine's was for him to make me a scrumptious (love that word) meal and watch a chick flick with me. We have still been recovering from this horrible cold/cough/sinus headaches for a while and I just wanted to stay home. For dinner he made filet minon, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and shrimp cocktail. What a feast! Of course the children ate with us.

Erin: This steak is so tender. Thank you so much for the wonderful dinner.
Bruce: Your welcome.
Rebecca is eating her steak by the handfulls and later throwing her food across the table.
Breanna needs more meat.
Sarah didn't get enough potato.
Hunter is screaming in the background because he woke up too early from his nap and is still tired.
After dinner we got the children ready for bed, then in bed -- so we thought. The two oldest had a hard time staying in bed. Rebecca, we think, is getting her molars in, starts crying uncontrollably. Hunter isn't being very cooperative about going to bed either. There we were -- finally got the two oldest to stay in bed, Hunter's in bed, and Rebecca is sitting with us watching "Sweet Home Alabama". Yep, Happy Valentine's Day!

Thankfully, we are all getting better. It's been a little rough for us. We're still not at 100%, but feel like we're heading in the right direction. Just in case you were wondering about our little "rockstar."

Here she is! The other night the kids got in our closet and started putting on my shoes. Sarah pulls out my boots, puts them on, and says, "Now I really look like a rock star, don't I?" Of course we agreed with her. Bruce proceeds to show her how to do "air guitar".

Then, here's a few pics of our cuties!

Breanna said, "Mom, take a picture of me and Hunter." I tried. She never would look at the camera!

Here's Mr. Cuteness himself. Yep, I just want to kiss his little face all the time! He's thinking about crawling. For now, he knows how to roll his way over to things he wants. Eating baby food for the most part, and we're still working on the bottle issue! I don't nurse kids with teeth -- and they're on their way.

Here's little Miss Cuteness! Don't let her fool you though! She knows that a kitchen chair will get her anything she wants when she wants it! Someday she will be a great mother!

The diagnosis

After a few doctor's appointments, we have the results:

4 sinus infections (all four kids)

1 pink eye (Sarah)

1 "maybe" strep infection (Erin)

Our new morning and evening regimen! YUMMY! Thank you Louis Pasteur! Oh, I forgot to mention that Bruce is coming down with it too! We are totally into family bonding these days!

I'm always amazed at even though my kids are sick, they are still darn cute! Reading Hunter's bib, you know who will be taking care of us later on in life.

I can't forget to mention our little Rebecca, the multi-tasker! She can walk on her little princess high heels, suck her fingers, and rub her belly button all at the same time.

The bad hair day is due to putting the bowl of yogurt on her head after eating it for breakfast. She truly believes that adding food to her hair moisturizes it, gives it texture, and above all pushes her mommy's buttons.

A few little dittys

Rebecca is on the mend. She's doing much better. Thank you for the phone calls to check on how she's doing. She's doing so well that she locked me out of the house the other day. Yep, locked me out and laughed.

I went outside to turn on the grill and didn't notice that she locked the arcadia door. Sneaky and quick. I turned around to open the door and it was locked! I looked at her and she just smiled her biggest smile. I told her to unlock the door and let me in. Ah, the big smile and a little chuckle. Panic is starting to set in as I think about this. The other girls were in the family room and couldn't hear me yelling for them. How am I going to get in?

Breanna comes into the kitchen. I yell for her to open the door. She had been helping me make chicken soup. I moved her chair back to the table because we were just letting it simmer on the stove. Here's that dialogue:

E -- "Breanna, open this door!"
B -- "Why you move my chair, Mom??!!"
E -- "Breanna, unlock the door please!"
B -- "I move my chair back, then I let you in."

I couldn't help but laugh at this very funny situation. I thought if anyone had a camera to see this whole scenario they'd just laugh. After Breanna moved her chair back, she did let me in.

As you know, I've been making everyone a little snow hat. I'm not a knitter. I use the little circle helper and wrap the yarn around it. I can usually get a hat done in a day. It would normally only take a couple of hours, but I have four little distractions who need their mom every once in a while. Here Rebecca is modeling Bruce's hat. Now I'm working on Rebecca's. Thanks to Sung's mom, I've learned how to make a cuter pom pom to go on top. Bruce said he didn't want one. Can't imagine why not! :)

My little "rock star to be" Sarah!

Saturday morning conversation:
S -- "I look better today than you, Breanna because I look like a rock star."
B-- "No you don't!
Mom -- "Sarah, what is a rock star? And where did you hear that?"
S -- "It was on pollypockets.com. She said to her friend that some day she wanted to be a rock star."

She was wearing a magenta short sleeve shirt and black pants. Yep, you're still on the road to being a rock star.
