Pretty hair

Breanna loves doing her pretty hair -- all by herself. She's almost four years old. She combs her hair AT LEAST twice a day if not more. She loves to put in clippies, pretty bows, and headbands.
Today's end result!
Breanna wants her hair done a specific way each day. She already spends a lot of time in the bathroom doing her hair -- I usually have to kick her out of the bathroom. My only concern is if she is like this at 4 yrs. old, what will she be like as a teenager?

First day of school & a haircut!

Our cute little first grader!
On the first day of school we were all excited -- especially Sarah -- new school, new grade, etc. It was fun getting ready for the day and talking about all the exciting things that she might do. Breanna and I took her to school. I wanted to be there for the first day just in case she needed her mom. Bruce stayed home with the little ones. I was pretty put together on our way there, walking to the line, and then I watched her get in line and lost it. Yep, this mom cried.

There went my little girl, off to school, all day long, and I couldn't keep it together.

Once I got home I was fine. I missed my little helper. She manages to keep the other kids entertained and loves to help out with things around the house. I still miss her during the day, but what a difference it makes to have one less child at home. She loves every minute of the day -- P.E. twice a week, recess twice a day, and her teacher is great! I get to go help out in the classroom tomorrow and I'm excited to see what she's doing!

The before haircut picture -- apron on and fishy crackers galore -- all set!

Bruce cut his hair with the clippers. He held pretty still for a one year old.

Bruce had to hold his head a few times, but he never cried.

After the haircut -- oh our little baby is beginning to look like a little boy! So cute!

A little annoyed

We're at the store the other day. Breanna wanted to be inside the cart sitting with Rebecca. She wasn't being very nice so I took her out. Tantrum on the floor. Yep, down on the dirty yucky floor throwing a fit.

I turn down an aisle, instead of being in the middle of the big aisle, and there's a lady down that aisle. Breanna continues to throw a tantrum about wanting to get back in the cart.

The lady says, "Oh, I don't mind. I used to work in a grocery store and saw that all the time."

Oh, I feel so much better about my kid throwing a tantrum.

Reunion Day 2

We left Aunt Alma's and headed over to my sister's. We chatted with her for a bit, then met up with Maggie, Neil and their kids (Bruce's nephew) for some good food and fun at the park. This park was awesome! It had so many fun things for the kids to play on -- including a little mist shower. It was fun!
Sarah & Abby on the tire swing

Rebecca was on this slide forever -- over and over and over
Abby, Breanna, Rebecca's head poking out, and Sarah on the "boat".

Little Hunter Boy happy to stay in the stroller as long as he had a water bottle to play with.
After all that fun at the park, we headed back to my sister's, got baths, and the kids to bed.

Utah Reunion Day 1

Day 1 -- traveled to Alton, UT to visit with Bruce's aunt. We stayed overnight at her house. Our kids were good travelers. Thank you DVD in the car!

We had the cutest chauffeur. He stayed awake and alert throughout the whole drive -- unlike the lady in the front passenger seat. Thank you Mountain Dew and sunflower seeds!

Bruce, the girls, and I stayed in one room, while Hunter got his own room. We had an eventful sleep -- two sleep talkers and one falling out of bed. Couldn't do much about the two talkers, but the bed-faller-outer got moved to the floor after the second fall.
