I Can Do It!

Breanna and Sarah were riding scooters outside this morning.  I went to help Hunter ride a bike and overheard this conversation.

S:  Okay, Breanna.  This is what I do, I say to my mind and in my heart, 

"I can do it!  I can do it!"  Okay? Watch!

(Sarah rides the scooter from the gate to the grass whispering to herself,

"I can do it!  I can do it!")

S:  See Breanna?  Now you try.

(Breanna begins to ride her scooter and whispering to herself,

"I can do it! I can do it!")

As Breanna's riding Sarah asks,

"Are you saying it in your heart and in your mind, Breanna?"

S:  That was great, Breanna!  You did it! 

That was the fastest you've done it so far.  Let's go again.

 

Each time Breanna got faster on her scooter.

 

S:  See, Breanna!  You can do it! 

You just have to whisper in your heart and in your mind that you can do it -- then you can do it!
